Corinna Hasbach

Corinna Hasbach earned a BA from the University of Toronto, and Masters and Doctorate degrees from Michigan State University. She has been a distinguished educator in secondary and post-secondary contexts since 1983. She has taught both American and IB English language programs. She has taught middle school and high school students at the International School of Manila, Escola Graduada de São Paulo, The Koç School (Istanbul), and the International School of Amsterdam. She has taught university undergraduates and graduates at Michigan State University and Albion College. Since 2008 she has specialized in the International Baccalaureate MYP and DP English Language and Literature and Literature programs, including the supervision of Personal Projects and Extended Essays.

In each context, Corinna has nurtured passionate, lifelong learners who revel in literature and the power of language. These students are exceptionally well prepared for the future and many move on to and thrive in the world’s premier universities (e.g., Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Stanford, Leiden University, and University of Toronto).

Corinna brings a wealth of experience to help learners of every age develop their critical thinking and reading skills, their oral and written communication skills, and their confidence to embrace each new challenge and to reach their full potential.
